Job summary

Butler Rose is recruiting a Client Manager for a well-established Leeds firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors. You will manage a portfolio, prepare accounts and tax computations, and provide business advice in a collaborative environment.

The role offers hybrid working in Leeds, with emphasis on client relationships, compliance and timely delivery, and there will be interaction with HMRC and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/AAT Qualified
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of accountancy principles

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance and reporting deadlines are met
• Prepare accounts, tax computations and personal tax returns for a varied client base
• Provide financial, tax planning and business advice, identifying opportunities to add value
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, including regular client meetings
• Liaise with HMRC, banks and other external stakeholders as required
• Review client work for accuracy, quality and professional presentation
• Plan, delegate and oversee work across the team, supporting colleagues and trainees
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and client service
• Maintain accurate client records, risk assessments and workflow management systems
• Support billing, debtor management and timely fee collection
• Contribute to the wider development of the business and CPD
