Blusource Professional Services Ltd in Derbyshire seeks an experienced Accountant/Client Manager to support owners and review staff work, delivering accounts, tax, and advisory services for owner-managed businesses and individuals. Flexible single-day home working and adaptable hours are offered, with a friendly, secure employer environment.

The role may include supervising trainees and gradually building a client bank, with potential progression toward leadership and equity for the right person.

Qualificações

• Qualified by experience considered; focus is on experience over formal papers.
• Experience handling accounts for owner-managed businesses and individuals.
• Knowledge of tax computations and advisory work is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Review and prepare accounts from records to statutory financial statements.
• Perform tax computations and reviews for clients.
• Handle quarterly VAT returns, management accounts, and ad hoc reports.
• Supervise trainee accountants and manage staff performance where applicable.
• Help develop systems and procedures; support business growth.
• Progress toward leadership responsibilities within the firm.

We are helping an established accountancy firm hire a key job role, supporting the owners in a senior capacity, both doing work and helping to review work by staff, providing accountancy, taxation, and general business advice to owner managed businesses and individuals throughout the region.

The firm have a rare and attractive career opportunity for the right person, as described below - they are happy to consider people "qualified by experience", AAT or ACA / ACCA with experience being more important than qualifications. The firm use a variety of IT systems, including taxcalc and quickbooks.

They would therefore like to bring in a capable person in a rounded Accountant / Client Manager role and if you are ambitious, this job could even progress to future equity or ownership for the right person.

Handling a bank of clients, the Partners can support as you gradually build that up, initially taking over some clients and building that over time. You may have some review and management responsibilities for staff, if that suits your experience and develop close and supportive relationships with clients, offering rounded compliance services and some advisory support.

The firm are very flexible, can do perhaps a day per week of home working, plus flexibility on start and finish times and are known as a friendly, supportive and secure employer.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Review and production of accounts preparation from incomplete or computerised records to producing statutory financial statements ready for review; sole trader, partnerships, and limited company accounts
• Tax computations and review
• Quarterly VAT returns, periodic management accounts and ad hoc reports when required
• Potentially supervise Trainee Accountants, review and manage work and performance
• Help the firm develop, improve systems / procedures and support organic growth whilst building your network
• Potentially grow your position and responsibility into a future leadership position
