Job summary

bk plus is seeking an experienced Client Manager for a part-time, hybrid role based in the Wokingham area. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, prepare statutory accounts, VAT, CT and personal tax returns, while building strong client relationships.

The role offers 20–25 hours per week across 5 days with flexibility to fit around school commitments, and a supportive team environment in practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients independently.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management.
• Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
• Proactive and organised approach.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 40–50 clients across sectors.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts for companies and sole traders.
• Prepare and submit VAT Returns.
• Prepare Corporation Tax returns.
• Prepare Personal Tax returns.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Respond to client queries and provide ongoing advice and support.
• Support the wider team with ad-hoc client and practice matters.

• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies & sole traders.
• Preparing and submitting VAT Returns.
• Preparing Corporation Tax returns.
• Preparing Personal Tax returns.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Responding to client queries and providing ongoing support and advice.
• Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc client and practice matters as required.

The Ideal Client Manager candidate will have:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients independently.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
• The ability to prioritise work and manage deadlines effectively.
• A proactive and organised approach.
• Strong attention to detail.

Experience with the following software would be highly advantageous:

• CCH
• Xero
• TaxCalc
• FreeAgent
