Qualifications

• ACCA/AAT qualification or QBE.
• At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file year end accounts, business tax and capital allowances for limited companies, LLPs, partnerships and sole traders.
• Prepare and file self-assessments and personal tax computations.
• Prepare capital gains tax computations and implement R&D Tax claims.
• Provide tax planning and advice to reduce tax for business owners.
• Review bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts for portfolio clients.
• Prepare management accounts and performance analysis.
• Advise on profitability improvements and effective business controls.
• Assist in client cashflow management.
• Prepare financial projections and budgets.
• Prepare business plans and help source and negotiate finance.
• Conduct business valuations.
• Manage your own portfolio of clients.
• Assist with training of junior staff.
• Train clients on software and applications.
• WIP and billing management.

Senior Practice Accountant - Key Responsibilities:

Compliance

• Preparation and filing of year end accounts, business tax and capital allowances for limited companies, LLP's, partnerships and sole traders
• Preparation and filing of self-assessments and personal tax computations
• Preparation of capital gains tax computations and implementation of R&D Tax claims
• Reduce the burden of taxation for business owners by providing good tax planning and advice

Outsourcing and Advisory

• Review periodic bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts for portfolio clients
• Preparation of management accounts and management information/performance analysis
• Advising on the improvement of profitability and business efficiency and implementation of effective business controls and systems
• Assisting in control and management of client cashflow
• Preparation of integrated financial projections and budgets
• Preparing business plans and helping to source and negotiate finance
• Conducting business valuations

Management

• To effectively manage your own portfolio of clients
• To assist with training and development of less experienced staff
• Training of internal staff and clients on various software and applications
• WIP and billing management

Senior Practice Accountant - Experience Required:

• AAT or ACCA Qualified or part-qualified / QBE
• At least 5 years' experience in a similar role
