Job summary

A qualified accountant ready to own a portfolio and lead client relationships in a growing accountancy practice in Berkhamsted. You will oversee accounts, tax and advisory needs, review work, mentor the team, and help shape how the practice grows.

£50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience, plus 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension, ongoing development, and a clear route to progress within a growing firm.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with UK practice experience.
• Experience managing a client portfolio.
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax.
• Confident, commercial and client-focused communication.
• Ownership-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients as their primary point of contact and trusted adviser.
• Review accounts, corporation tax and personal tax before sign-off.
• Spot advisory, planning and improvement opportunities across your clients.
• Oversee budgets, WIP, billing and recoverability on your portfolio.
• Mentor, review and develop semi-seniors and seniors.
• Support the partners on wider practice growth and new work.

This is a great opportunity with a well-established, growing accountancy practice in Berkhamsted. You'll be the trusted lead adviser for a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses — overseeing their accounts, tax and advisory needs, reviewing work, and being the person clients pick up the phone to. You'll also mentor and develop the team below you and help shape how the practice grows. What you'll be doing

• Managing a portfolio of clients as their primary point of contact and trusted adviser
• Reviewing accounts, corporation tax and personal tax before sign-off
• Spotting advisory, planning and improvement opportunities across your clients
• Overseeing budgets, WIP, billing and recoverability on your portfolio
• Mentoring, reviewing and developing semi-seniors and seniors
• Supporting the partners on wider practice growth and new work
