Job summary

Newgate Ltd based in Newark is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Engineering professional to join a close-knit team of engineers. You will compile drawings, liaise with clients and internal teams, and provide technical support across fabrication and welding activities.

The role involves attending site meetings, producing BOMs, updating drawings, and managing projects when needed. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• ONC/BTEC or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Competent in Autodesk AutoCAD 2D.
• Competent in Autodesk Inventor with knowledge of iLogic.
• MS Office experience including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Compile drawings for client approval from front sheet and provided information.
• Act as customer liaison to resolve issues.
• Provide technical help to Shop Floor and Service department.
• Attend site meetings with clients as required.
• Liaise with Design team to resolve production or development problems.
• Create bills of materials for manufacture.
• Amend and update existing drawings and control prints.
• Produce calculations to assist with designs for client approval.
• Assist clients and engineers with telephone support.
• Manage projects when needed.
