Job summary

Oasis Business Personnel Ltd is seeking a Client Finance Manager in Hitchin (SG5) on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on managing client bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns and credit control while developing strong client relationships and process automation.

The successful candidate will oversee daily ledger activities, liaise with payroll and compliance teams, and help drive efficient onboarding and ongoing account management for a portfolio of clients.

Qualifications

• Proven competence across client bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT returns, credit control and payroll, including statutory pay (SSP, SMP and SPP).
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting tools and timesheet systems is advantageous.
• Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office; able to learn and adapt to new systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, collaborating with payroll, compliance, finance, onboarding and operations teams.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients.
• Develop understanding of each client’s business processes, priorities and service requirements.
• Monitor service levels and resolve issues to avoid impact on clients and contractors.
• Assist with onboarding of new clients and transition to ongoing account management.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers across daily, weekly and monthly bookkeeping tasks.
