Job summary

SoCode Limited, near Cambridge, is seeking a Project Manager to join the software delivery team. You’ll be involved early alongside sales and engineering, shaping opportunities and carrying them through to delivery.

The work is software-led but often includes embedded or electronics workstreams, requiring coordination across disciplines with regular client contact. Expect to lead planning and delivery, maintain schedules and budgets, and act as the main client contact.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering complex software development projects.
• Technical depth to engage with engineers (CI/CD, test frameworks).
• Strong people skills with the ability to read a team.
• Clear communicator in stand-up and boardroom settings.
• Familiar with Jira, Confluence, Git and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Taking the lead on planning and delivery for software projects, often with hardware or embedded elements.
• Working with a technical lead to control schedules, budgets, resourcing and change.
• Being the client's main point of contact and ensuring clear communication on both sides.
• Getting the best out of project teams through hands-on leadership and early intervention.
• Bringing structure to delivery using agile methods, WBS and MS Project as needed.
• Maintaining reporting and governance from kick-off through handover.
• Providing feedback to tighten up how software projects are run over time.
