Job summary

Capio Recruitment Limited is seeking a conveyancing professional for our client in Hitchin to join an established legal practice with a strong focus on client care and collaborative teamwork across departments.

You will work alongside experienced fee earners on a diverse caseload, handling file administration, liaising with clients, and supporting junior colleagues to develop your litigation and transaction skills within the full property lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in a residential conveyancing team handling day-to-day file administration.
• Working knowledge of conveyancing lifecycle, including enquiry handling and Land Registry processes.
• Strong numeracy, computer literacy, and attention to detail under pressure.
• Clear, professional written and spoken communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Draft replies to enquiries from buyers' solicitors and manage file accuracy.
• Handle post-exchange and post-completion tasks, including Land Registry filings.
• Liaise with clients in person and by phone, building professional rapport.
• Support fee earners with legal research, diary management, and mentoring juniors.
