Job summary

Anson McCade Pty is seeking a Client Director for the Energy & Utilities sector in London. The role combines strategy, business development and delivery leadership to grow the portfolio, with three days in the office and the rest from home.

You will lead large engagements, develop client relationships, coach teams and establish sector thought leadership, with travel to client sites across the London area.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in management consulting or professional services with Energy & Utilities experience.
• Proven track record leading large, complex engagements with senior executives.
• Experience growing client accounts, developing proposals and selling solutions.
• Ability to build high-performing teams and coach others.
• Bachelor’s degree; master’s or professional certifications are a bonus; right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Client Director, Energy & Utilities, London

Up to £135,000 | London (3 days a week in the office, the rest from home)

About the role

Our client is a leading UK management consultancy. They are hiring a Director-level consultant to play a key role in growing their Energy & Utilities portfolio. Working closely with the portfolio leader, you will help shape and deliver the strategy for the business unit and lead it as it grows.

What you’ll do

• Combine business development, account leadership and solution delivery (change, project and technology delivery) across the Energy & Utilities sector.


• Identify and sell solutions that add real value for clients, across organisational strategy, people and change, programme management and technology advisory.


• Build client and team relationships that drive results and growth.


• Lead and coach a team of consultants, on projects and as a formal career coach.


• Establish yourself as a sector thought leader through networking, speaking and writing.


• Work with prestigious clients, mainly in the London area, with some travel.

What you’ll need

• 10+ years in management consulting, advisory or professional services (Big 4 background welcome), with Energy & Utilities experience essential.


• A track record of leading large, complex engagements and building relationships with senior executives.


• Proven success growing client accounts, developing proposals and selling business solutions.


• Experience building high-performing teams.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to build credibility and consensus.


• A bachelor’s degree (a master’s or professional certifications are a bonus).
