My client is seeking a Client Contracts Advisor to expertly handle legal-specific contract matters within their Contracts and Licensing team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of contracts and experience in the tech sector.

Description

This senior-level opportunity is for a legally qualified professional or experienced contracts specialist to join their Contracts & Licensing Department in Guildford.

This role offers a chance to move beyond traditional legal practice and make a significant commercial impact by advising on, negotiating, and managing complex international B2B software licensing and services agreements.

You will work closely with colleagues to ensure the provision of efficient and quality contractual services to clients in 90 countries worldwide.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  1. Drafting and negotiating international B2B client contracts
  2. Advising on contractual terms, identifying potential risks, and mitigation strategies
  3. Collaborating on complex tender submissions aligned with organizational contracting principles
  4. Maintaining and evolving internal contract templates for consistency and compliance
  5. Mentoring colleagues on contract review, negotiation, and best practices
  6. Acting as a key contact for clients via email and Microsoft Teams
  7. Staying informed on legal developments to ensure practices remain relevant
  8. Providing ad hoc support to clients and colleagues to meet shared goals
Profile
  • Legal qualification or substantial experience in commercial/contracts roles
  • 5+ years of experience with commercial contracts, ideally B2B and international
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to balance legal, commercial, and client needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with enthusiasm for mentoring
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage priorities
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support clients and colleagues
