Job Introduction

As a Client Consultant, you are an essential part of a team that delivers the extraordinary to our customers. As a Retail team member and an expert on all things Selfridges, you are fully knowledgeable about the store, including the latest events and services that only Selfridges can offer. Based in your department, you will create memorable experiences by understanding customers' reasons to visit, deepening relationships, and growing your client book, while maintaining the highest retail standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Create the extraordinary by identifying and connecting with potential clients shopping in your department, quickly assessing and catering to their needs.
  2. Work as part of a team focused on creating a memorable customer experience, including selling, replenishing stock, cashing up, organizing rails, hosting, and ensuring accurate data capture at POS while encouraging opt-in.
  3. Dedicate time to building a client base within your division and nurturing long-term relationships through proactive client development, including personalized updates on new products and experiences based on preferences, with a focus on driving OB brands and key products.
  4. Elevate customer experiences by providing seamless connections to other parts of the store and our Brand Partners, establishing yourself as a trusted team member.
  5. Manage customer feedback to continually improve service, sales, and retail standards.
  6. Stay ahead of the latest trends by expanding your product knowledge and understanding of competitors, striving to be an expert in your division.
  7. Follow health, safety, and security procedures and actively participate in preventing stock loss.
About You
  1. Excellent communicator, able to adapt your style and personalize communication to suit customer needs and preferences, keeping My Yellow Book updated.
  2. Sales and service expert, acting as a personal concierge to clients, assessing needs quickly, and delivering exceptional service.
  3. Well-informed with excellent product knowledge and awareness of store events and services that appeal to clients.
  4. Connected across the shop floor, knowing who to refer clients to for additional product knowledge or to continue their experience throughout the store.
  5. Curious about clients and trends, seeking opportunities to learn more and expand product knowledge outside your division.
  6. Tech-savvy, utilizing clienteling tools and embracing an omni-channel approach.
  7. Proud shopkeeper, maintaining a clean environment, assisting with cashing up, and supporting the team as needed.
  8. Flexible and responsive to business needs, willing to undertake tasks beyond role expectations.
