One of our companies is currently looking for a Client Accounting Manager in United Kingdom.
As a Client Accounting Manager, you will oversee the financial operations for a portfolio of SME clients, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and providing high-level accounting services. Your role will involve managing the preparation and review of statutory accounts, tax filings, and VAT processes, while also mentoring and guiding a team of accountants. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining strong client relationships, offering strategic financial advice, and ensuring smooth financial management for clients in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Accountabilities:
Oversee and review the preparation of statutory annual accounts, reconciliations, and external returns for a portfolio of SME clients.
Manage client relationships, providing financial insights, advice, and recommendations to help clients meet their business goals.
Ensure all financial records, systems, and internal controls are maintained, reviewed, and compliant with regulations.
Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance on day-to-day challenges, performance management, and training.
Handle complex tax compliance issues, including corporation tax and VAT, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Qualified or partially qualified in AAT, ACA, ICAEW, or ACCA with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Extensive knowledge of accounting practices, corporation tax, VAT processes, and compliance regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel.
Experience in working with a large portfolio of SME clients and a fast-growing startup environment.
Knowledge of payroll and personal tax is advantageous.
