VNI International in Jersey is seeking a Client Accountant (Assistant Manager) to lead delivery of accurate accounting services for a portfolio of company and trust structures, with emphasis on technical review, workflow oversight and people development.

You will ensure compliance with FRS 102 (1A) and IFRS, mentor junior staff, coordinate preparation and review of accounts, and deliver management information to the Client Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CA qualification required.
• At least 5 years of relevant client accounting experience.
• Sound knowledge of company and trust accounting; FRS 102(1A) and IFRS.
• Experience mentoring colleagues and developing staff.
• Strong technical, analytical and organizational skills; exceptional attention to detail.
• Navision experience is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables independently under pressure.
• Clear communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Proactive in risk identification and process improvement.
• Demonstrates professional judgement and client service.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate the preparation and review of company and trust accounts.
• Ensure accounting files, client reports and records meet quality and delivery standards.
• Monitor the Accounts Tracker and own outstanding actions and deadlines.
• Collaborate with Private Client teams to obtain complete information on time.
• Review complex work and provide guidance on bookkeeping and reporting.
• Assist with S731 and UK tax returns when required.
• Apply FRS 102 (1A) and IFRS policies consistently.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
• Plan workloads and manage competing deadlines; provide coaching to juniors.
• Deliver targeted training and prepare management information for the Client Accounting Manager.
