Job summary

Corporation Service Company is seeking a seasoned Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant to manage SPV ledgers, produce statutory statements, and liaise with auditors. The role emphasizes accurate journal posting, VAT and tax filings, and ongoing accounting for a varied client base.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in accounting, strong technical knowledge, and excellent organizational skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification is required.
• 3+ years’ experience in accounting in a firm or financial services environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with some audit exposure.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines with strong organization.
• Team player with problem-solving skills.
• Diligent, detail-oriented and professional in demeanor.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Setting up/maintaining the general ledger for new/existing clients through transaction research and assessing the applicable accounting treatment for SPVs.
• Posting journal entries and keeping up-to-date accounting records for a portfolio of SPVs.
• Preparing annual statutory financial statements including notes and disclosures under IFRS or local GAAP and in compliance with company law.
• Liaising with auditors to produce audited financial statements to meet statutory and other deadlines.
• Preparing routine monthly and quarterly management accounts and other client deliverables.
• Preparing and filing of VAT returns, Corporation Tax returns and iXBRL tagged financials.
• Resolving technical accounting issues arising on an ad-hoc basis with all parties.
• Working with the accounting team towards process improvements and efficiencies.
• Gaining familiarity with a diverse range of capital markets structures and products.
