Job summary

Arnold Clark is seeking an enthusiastic Valeter for our Click & Collect branch in Lingfield. You’ll ensure vehicles are presented in sparkling condition, supporting a busy team in a practical, active role.

With a focus on thorough cleaning, attention to detail, and teamwork, you’ll work to standard schedules and take pride in maintaining high quality vehicle appearances. Training through the Valet Academy is provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• High level of attention to detail is needed.
• Self-motivation and ability to work as part of a team.
• Able to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to participate in training programmes.

Responsibilities

• Clean sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Use online diary system to manage vehicle schedule.
• Clean vehicles externally with a high-powered pressure washer.
• Vacuum and shampoo interiors to a clean finish.
• Polish/buff bodywork to enhance appearance.
• Follow health and safety procedures when handling chemicals.
• Maintain and secure equipment; report defects per PPE rules.
• Meet set timeframes and targets; complete daily work log.
• Support the branch with other duties as required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Valeter to join our Click & Collect branch in Lingfield.

Hours

Full time: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm

About The Role

As an Arnold Clark Valeter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in sparkling condition.

This position will be a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role, has meticulous attention to detail and is a fantastic team player.

Day-to-day duties

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard
• Using an online diary system to manage vehicle schedule
• Cleaning vehicles externally with a high-powered pressure washer
• Using a high-powered vacuum to clean and shampoo vehicle interiors
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals
• Making sure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure at all times, reporting any defects and complying with manufacturers’ instructions and PPE recommendations
• Working to set timeframes and targets
• Using an online diary system to manage vehicle schedule
• Completing a daily record of work
• Other duties to support the branch as required

Valet experience is preferred but not essential, training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and the other required criteria. Arnold Clark also operates a Valet Academy which all new valet staff will attend.
