Position Details:

  • Location: St. Joseph's Hospital - London, ON
  • Type: Full Time
  • Salary Range: $29.11 - $34.23 /hour

St. Joseph's Hospital has a long-standing tradition of caring for the body, mind, and spirit since 1869. Our Medicine Services team specializes in treating complex medical and chronic diseases, focusing on prevention, research, and education. We aim to help individuals achieve optimal health through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, management, and follow-up care.

This role involves ensuring adequate staffing for patient care 24/7, supporting staff scheduling, managing coverage for absences, organizing vacation requests, and providing staffing reports to clinical leadership. The Centralized Staffing Team supports various clinics and programs, including Chronic Pain Management, Allergy/Immunology, General Respirology, and others.

Essential Qualifications
  • Secondary (High) School Diploma
  • Certificate in Medical Office Administration
  • Minimum 1 year healthcare experience
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and collective agreements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Professional attitude and team effectiveness
  • Ability to analyze staffing needs and suggest improvements
  • Knowledge of Safety Culture in Healthcare and OHSA compliance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in French (asset)
  • Experience in staffing/scheduling in unionized settings
Teaching and Research

As part of St. Joseph's affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College, employees are expected to participate in related teaching and research activities.

Immunization Requirements
  • Vaccination records or proof of immunity for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19, influenza
  • Documentation of Tuberculosis skin testing
