Brandon James is seeking a Clerk of Works for residential projects across the West and East Midlands. You will oversee quality control on-site, manage defects, and ensure compliance with programme milestones on apartments and dwellings.

Ideal candidates will have Clerk of Works or NEC Supervisor experience, with ICWCI/MCIOB credentials, and a strong background in residential construction. A full driving licence is required, and there is a Birmingham-based team and opportunities for career

• Experience as Clerk of Works or NEC Supervisor or similar construction quality role.
• ICWCI or MCIOB membership or qualification.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and workmanship.
• Previous residential project experience.
• consultancy experience is a bonus.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and record defects, non-compliance and quality concerns.
• Produce clear, detailed inspection reports.
• Maintain accurate site records and photographs.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme.
• Attend project, progress and site meetings.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants and client representatives.
• Support the project team in resolving quality and technical issues.
• Ensure testing and inspections are undertaken and recorded.
• Monitor health and safety observations and escalate where needed.

An independent, growing multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong presence across the midlands is looking for a clerk of works to support them with resi projects across the West/East Midlands.

The Clerk of Works - Role and Responsibilities

As the clerk of works on site, you will manage residential projects - apartments and dwellings across the west and east midlands.

• Previous experience working as a Clerk of Works, NEC Supervisor or in a similar construction quality role.
• ICWCI or MCIOB
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and workmanship
• Previous residential experience
• Previous consultancy experience beneficial
• Identifying and recording defects, non-compliance and areas of concern
• Producing clear and detailed inspection reports
• Maintaining accurate photographic and written site records
• Monitoring progress against the agreed construction programme
• Attending project, progress and site meetings
• Liaising with contractors, consultants, client representatives and other stakeholders
• Supporting the wider project team in resolving quality and technical issues
• Ensuring relevant testing and inspections are undertaken and appropriately recorded
• Monitoring health and safety observations and escalating concerns where appropriate
• Full driving license
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written reporting and record-keeping skills
