Clerk of Works / Bridges Inspector (Structures)

Salary: £32,010 - £37,626
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks
An opportunity has arisen within Roads & Infrastructure for the permanent post of Clerk of Works. This position is nominally based at the Council’s headquarters, Waverley Court, but is primarily site-based with some office and home-based work.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual for this challenging but rewarding role. The successful candidate should have an interest in bridges, retaining walls, and inspections; previous experience is beneficial. The Council oversees over 500 bridges and structures. You will be part of a team conducting inspections and managing on-site works related to Edinburgh’s bridges, tunnels, gantries, and retaining walls.
