Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Cleaning Team Leader to manage the day-to-day delivery of cleaning services for a leading UK broadcaster. You will supervise the team, oversee workloads, rotas, stock and equipment, and ensure services are delivered safely and to contract standards.

You will gain experience leading a dedicated cleaning team, coordinating resources, and maintaining high levels of customer service across the site. A DBS check is part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a cleaning or facilities team.
• Knowledge of professional cleaning methods and standards.
• Strong Health & Safety and COSHH knowledge.
• Confident in motivating teams to deliver high standards of service.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to use basic IT systems and handle administrative tasks.
• Able to follow written procedures and training materials.
• Able to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing operations.
• Professional and presentable when dealing with customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the cleaning team to meet agreed standards and specifications.
• Assign workloads and maintain cleaning schedules and rotas.
• Respond promptly to service issues and reactive cleaning requests.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, risk assessments and PPE.
• Carry out regular cleaning audits and address corrective actions.
• Manage stock, consumables, equipment, and machinery; ensure safety and operation.
• Deliver regular team briefings and toolbox talks; maintain attendance records.
• Support training and development needs; identify additional requirements.
• Process timesheets accurately and on time.
• Foster a positive, professional, customer-focused team environment.
