Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a dedicated cleaner to support facilities management across UK sites. You'll perform cleaning tasks to required standards, respond to reactive requests, and help meet contractual delivery targets while prioritising safety.

Working hours are 14:30–19:30, Monday to Friday, with additional duties as directed. You will liaise professionally with clients, handle chemicals and equipment correctly, and complete required training to uphold high standards of cleanliness

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks to ensure the agreed standards and prioritise workload.
• Report any repairs noticed during cleaning duties.
• Respond timely to service shortfalls identified.
• Perform daily maintenance on machinery as trained and report issues.
• Carry out additional or special cleans as required.
• Ensure adequate stocks of consumables in cleaning stores and request replenishments.
• Attend and complete training as required.
• Use chemicals and equipment as trained.
• Liaise with customers and clients professionally, escalating where needed to ensure resolution.
• Maintain safe working practices and raise health and safety risks.
• Keep equipment and storage areas well organized.

Role overview

Required to undertake duties as directed and respond to reactive requests, providing best practice in all cleaning activities carried out to uphold company values at all times and to meet contractual deliverables.

What you’ll do:

• Carry out cleaning tasks to ensure the agreed standards and ensure workload is prioritised and completed.
• Ensure any repairs noticed during cleaning duties are reported.
• Ensure a timely response to any service shortfalls identified.
• Conduct all necessary daily maintenance on machinery (as trained) and report any issues.
• Carry out additional or special cleans as instructed.
• Ensure adequate stocks of consumables are available in nominated cleaning stores and where necessary requests for replenishments are submitted.
• Attend and complete training as required.
• Use chemicals and equipment as trained.
• Liaise with customers and clients in a professional manner, escalating as required to ensure resolution.
• To always work safely, raising any health and safety risks or hazards.
• Good housekeeping of equipment and consumables and storage areas.
