Job summary

The role is 30 hours per week, term time only plus five additional days during the summer holidays, with a salary on the BANES Grade 4 scale (£18,393–£19,292 per annum).

You will ensure adequate staffing, training, stock control, COSHH and health and safety records, and liaise with the Business Manager to manage timesheets and absences.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising cleaning staff.
• Understanding of COSHH and health & safety.
• Ability to train cleaning staff.
• Stock control and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• To assist with cleaning of the school and set high cleaning standards.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels with cover across areas at appropriate times.
• Ensure cleaning staff are properly trained to fulfil duties.
• Maintain stocks of cleaning and hygiene materials and monitor stock control system.
• Maintain Health and Safety records, including COSHH, and manage timesheets, holidays and attendance with Business Manager.

Cleaning Supervisor

BANES Grade 4, Scale Point 7 - 10 £18393 - £19292 per annum actual salary

Required as soon as possible, an enthusiastic Cleaning Supervisor to monitor and supervise cleaning staff to ensure a high standard of cleaning to all areas of the academy. To assist with the cleaning of the academy, setting high standards.

Having achieved another \"record-breaking\" set of results in summer 2025, and following on from our Ofsted visit in May 2024 where we were judged as a strong ‘Good’ in all areas, Buckler’s Mead Academy is going from strength to strength.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To assist with the cleaning of the school, setting high standards to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.

To ensure adequate staffing levels are in place, with cover in all areas at appropriate times.

To ensure cleaning staff are appropriately trained to fulfil their duties.

To maintain adequate stocks of all cleaning and hygiene materials, including monitoring and controlling a full stock control system, ordering all necessary materials in line with the best value policy.

To maintain Health and Safety records, including COSHH.

To maintain timesheets, holiday and absence records for cleaning staff, liaising with the Business Manager.
