Job summary

ISS Facility Services UK is seeking a proactive Cleaning Supervisor to lead frontline Placemakers in the South West, including Bristol and Bath. You will drive service delivery, ensure health and safety compliance, and manage recruitment and training with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, a company van provided, and a permanent, full-time contract based in Bristol. Flexible hours and strong stakeholder management are key to success.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience in the cleaning industry.
• Strong communication and problem solving abilities.
• Experience managing staff records and training documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct line management and day-to-day support to front-line Placemakers.
• Maintain strong client engagement and build positive working relationships to support service delivery.
• Support account management teams in delivering best-in-class service and performance across KAN accounts.
• Work collaboratively with the OSC job management team to ensure contractual SLA and KPI requirements are met.
• Conduct planned visits with each Placemaker, ensuring every individual is visited at least every six weeks.
• Oversee health and safety compliance, complete audits and support continuous improvement activities.
• Manage employee induction, training records, mandatory e-learning compliance and ongoing development.
• Coordinate recruitment and vetting activities with the Sector Manager, ensuring compliance requirements are met and vacancies are filled within 48 hours.
• Manage reactive work requests, including carpet cleaning and low-level weeding, ensuring timely completion.
• Monitor consumable stock levels, coordinate uniform ordering, maintain tidy store rooms and complete site audits.

Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday | Flexible hours between 07:00 and 22:00

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Cleaning Supervisor to provide direct line management to front-line Placemakers and support all aspects of self-delivered activities within the aligned UK sector.

Job Description

We are looking for an individual with strong leadership, organisational and stakeholder management skills who can support frontline teams, ensure compliance with contractual and health and safety requirements, and build positive working relationships with customers, colleagues and internal stakeholders.

A full UK driving licence is essential, and a company van will be provided.

• Previous experience within the cleaning industry.
• Experience in a comparable supervisory or management role.
• Experience managing staff records and training documentation.
• Strong customer service and client relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to support, motivate and develop front-line colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Flexible, adaptable and proactive approach to work.
• Full UK driving licence.
