Job summary

Ipswich High School is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the cleaning team on a 36-hour week, 52 weeks per year. The role offers split shifts: AM 5.00–8.30 and PM 16.15–20.00, with hours negotiable.

The successful candidate will have prior cleaning supervisory experience, strong organisational and administrative skills, and a focus on health and safety across a campus environment on the River Orwell.

Job description

Ipswich High School are looking to appoint a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee our cleaning team, ideally working 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, on a split shift AM ( 5.00 am to 8.30 am) and PM (4.15 pm to 8.00 pm) these hours are approximate and can be agreed with the successful candidate. You will have previous experience in managing others as well as understanding cleaning processes, with good administrative skills including stock ordering and management. You will be responsible for allocating duties and monitoring standards of cleaning across the site, ensuring compliance with health and safety, including COSHH.

Located on an idyllic 87-acre campus on the banks of the River Orwell, Ipswich High School has 6 buildings plus Boarding House to maintain on a daily basis throughout the year.
