Job summary

Mitie is seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to support the day-to-day delivery of cleaning and housekeeping services at National Grid Eakring. This hands-on supervisory role will lead the cleaning team and ensure high standards across planned, periodic and reactive cleaning tasks.

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, be able to motivate a team, maintain excellent standards and show a strong commitment to Health & Safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate daily tasks for the cleaning team.

• Monitor attendance and holiday cover.
• Deliver toolbox talks on health and PPE requirements.
• Manage stock of materials and equipment and order as needed.
• Respond to customer requests and issues.
• Build relationships with National Grid stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve cleaning methods and efficiency.

We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping & Cleaning Supervisor to support the day-to-day delivery of cleaning and housekeeping services at National Grid Eakring.

This is a hands-on supervisory role, responsible for leading the cleaning team, maintaining excellent standards and ensuring planned, periodic and reactive cleaning activities are completed safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support the cleaning team, allocating daily tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure cleaning schedules and service standards are consistently achieved.
• Carry out regular quality inspections and address any areas falling below standard.
• Undertake cleaning and housekeeping duties when required to support service delivery.
• Support recruitment, induction, training and development of team members.
• Monitor attendance, conduct, performance and holiday cover.
• Deliver toolbox talks and reinforce Health & Safety, COSHH and PPE requirements.
• Monitor cleaning materials, consumables and equipment, ordering stock where required.
• Respond professionally to customer requests, complaints and reactive cleaning requirements.
• Build positive relationships with National Grid stakeholders and site users.
• Identify opportunities to improve cleaning methods, efficiency and the overall customer experience.
• Support the introduction of new equipment, products, technology and innovative ways of working.
