Job summary

Mitie is hiring a Cleaner at the National Grid Main Building in Eakring, Newark. This permanent part-time role offers 25 contractual hours weekly, from 07:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday. The position focuses on keeping equipment and premises clean, safe, and compliant with SLAs and site procedures.

You will follow health and safety rules, undertake required training, and work as part of a team while delivering excellent customer service and a proactive attitude to improvements.

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.

Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements. You will need to undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role. You will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative. You will need to build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivery excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.

In order to be successful in this role you will need have the ability to communicate and read basic English, previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential and have a flexible approach to the role. You will need to be open, honest, self-driven and determined. You'll need to be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
