Job summary

Connah’s Quay High School is seeking a reliable Cleaning Supervisor to join our team. You will supervise the cleaning staff, organise daily duties and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across designated areas.

This hands-on supervisory role requires strong organisation, communication and teamwork. Term-time schedule, with part-time hours and pro rata pay will reflect your contributions to a safe school environment.

School Cleaning Supervisor

Grade G02: £26,427 – £27,709 (Full-Time Equivalent)13 hours 30 minutes per week | Term-time only (weeks to be confirmed)

Monday to Thursday: 3.15pm – 6.00pm

Friday: 3.15pm – 5.45pm

Salary will be paid pro rata to reflect the part-time, term-time working arrangements.

Working closely with the Site Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring that our school provides a clean, safe and welcoming environment for learners, staff and visitors. You will be responsible for supervising the cleaning team, organising daily cleaning duties and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and health and safety throughout designated areas of the school.

This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocating and monitoring cleaning duties, supporting and training cleaning staff, ensuring the safe use of cleaning products and equipment, monitoring cleaning supplies and reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns.
• You will help ensure that cleaning activities are completed efficiently, in accordance with agreed schedules, COSHH regulations and relevant health and safety procedures, while minimising disruption to school activities.
• You will also provide practical support to the cleaning team when required.

Qualifications

Previous experience of cleaning and supervising cleaning staff is essential, together with the ability to organise workloads, motivate colleagues and maintain consistently high standards.
