Job summary

Catshill Middle School is looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to manage the cleaning team and maintain a clean, safe environment for pupils and staff. The role includes supervising staff, ensuring resources and supplies, and carrying out both general and deep-cleaning tasks across the school.

The successful candidate will uphold health and safety, COSHH and safeguarding procedures, communicating effectively with staff and working independently as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of cleaning and/or supervising a cleaning team.
• Organised, reliable and able to work independently.
• Good communication and teamwork & interpersonal skills.
• Willing to undertake relevant training including COSHH, health and safety and safeguarding.
• Fluent and spoken English essential.

• Supervise, support and motivate the cleaning team.
• Carry out regular cleaning checks and audits and report any issues.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are available and maintained.
• Undertake general and deep-cleaning duties to a high standard.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic and secure school environment.
• Report hazards, equipment faults and maintenance issues.
• Follow health and safety, COSHH and safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain good working relationships with school staff.
• Undertake key-holding responsibilities and other reasonable duties as required.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable, proactive and hardworking Cleaning Supervisor to join our school team at Catshill Middle School and help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff. The successful candidate will supervise and support the cleaning team, including monitoring standards, providing guidance and ensuring staff have the resources they need. You will also undertake general cleaning duties across the school, including classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas, as well as deep cleaning and other tasks as required.,
