King's College London is seeking a Cleaning Operative to provide general cleaning services. Duties follow duty manager instructions and cleaning standards across the campus buildings.

The role includes early morning shifts (5 am–9 am or 6 am–10 am, Monday to Friday) with pay of £28,785 per year, including London Weighting. The position is based on site within one of the KCL campuses and offers a range of staff benefits.

About the Role

Your place of work at King's College shall be the work location specified by the Duty Manager responsible for the relevant campus. The company reserves the right to move you to a different location within the building on a temporary or permanent basis. The company also reserves the right to move you to a different KCL Campus.

The role of Cleaning Operatives is to provide general cleaning services at King's College London. Cleaning Operatives need to ensure that cleaning standards are maintained following specific instructions given by the manager, and that the tasks are carried out according to the duty manager instructions.

Shift Schedule

• 5 am till 9 am shifts Monday to Friday ,
• 6am till 10am shifts Monday to Friday

Essential Criteria

• Good communication skills, including the ability to understand and respond to instructions, as well as interacting with a diverse mix of staff, students and members of the public.
• Good customer service skills with an understanding of customer expectations and how these can be met.
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.

Desirable Criteria

• Good teamwork skills
• Cleaning Experience
• Cleaning training or qualifications (e.g., BICS)
