Job summary

Kingston University Service Company Ltd (KUSCO) is seeking an Early Morning Cleaner to join our Campus Services team. This part-time role helps maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments for students, staff and visitors across university facilities.

Working across offices, classrooms, laboratories and communal areas, you will perform routine cleaning duties, dispose of waste, and ensure equipment and storage areas are well maintained. Training and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning in busy environments.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
• Punctual, reliable and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain allocated areas to agreed service standards.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Carry out floor polishing and deep cleaning duties when required.
• Keep storage areas clean, organised, and well maintained.
• Clean, maintain, and store equipment safely.
• Take responsibility for keys issued and maintain security procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, defects, safety concerns, and supply requirements.
• Follow all health and safety, security, and operational procedures.
• Participate in training and development activities as required.

Salary: £11,575.14 per annum (£14.80 per hour)

Contract: Part time, Monday to Friday - 3 hours per day Monday - Friday - 5.30am - 08.30am (15 hours per week)

About the Role

As an Early Morning Cleaner, you'll work as part of the KUSCO Service Delivery Team, carrying out cleaning duties across a range of university buildings and facilities.

You'll be trusted to work with minimal supervision, using your initiative and attention to detail to maintain excellent standards throughout your allocated areas.

Areas may include: Offices, Classrooms, Lecture theatres, Laboratories, Computer rooms, Workshops, Corridors, Washrooms and communal areas

Key Responsibilities
