Job summary

CleanEvent Services Ltd is seeking a venue cleaning operative to join a dedicated team. Reporting to a Venue Presentation Manager, you will clean an area within a venue and support event operations.

Key duties include rubbish removal, toilet and detail cleaning, floor care, window cleaning, dusting and sanitising ablution facilities, plus reporting issues to your area supervisor. You will work flexibly to cover shifts during events.

Qualifications

• Basic English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning tasks include rubbish pickup, toilet cleaning, detail cleaning, window cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor stripping/sealing.
• Emptying bins and high-level dusting; seat cleaning; cleaning metal staircases; removing chewing gum; sanitising ablution facilities.
• Operate handheld cleaning equipment such as vacuums, carpet extractors, blowers and buffing machines to complete tasks.
• Use chemical cleaning solvents and consumables as instructed.
• Clean machinery after use and store safely.
• Carry out reasonable client cleaning requests.
• Report cleaning and maintenance issues to the area supervisor promptly.
• Report suspicious behavior and potential security risks.
• Ensure equipment is used and maintained; report faults.
• Follow safe work practices per Company Policies.
• Maintain effective communication with Venue Services Manager and client.
• Attend meetings pre, during and post events; participate in training and appraisals.
• Staff are guest-focused with knowledge of facilities and services.
• Adhere to site safety regulations and Code of Conduct.
• Follow dress and behavior codes; adhere to all company policies.
• Report to all rostered shifts on time; flexible hours.
• Inform Venue Services Manager of work availability.
• Fill in daily cleaning check sheets.
• Basic English communication is preferred.

Role Description

Reporting to a Venue Presentation Manager and working as part of a team, this role is responsible for cleaning an area within a venue.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning tasks include; picking up rubbish, toilet cleaning, detail cleaning, window cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming carpets, stripping and resealing floors emptying bins, High level dusting, seat cleaning, washing metal stair cases, removing chewing gum from all areas and sanitizing ablution facilities.
• Operate handheld cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, blowers, buffing machines to complete allocated cleaning tasks.
• Use chemical cleaning solvents and consumables as instructed to complete allocated cleaning tasks
• Clean machinery after use and store in a safe place
• Carryout any reasonable client cleaning requests
• Communicate all cleaning and maintenance issues to your area supervisor as soon as possible
• Communicate all suspicious behavior and potential security risks to your area supervisor as soon as possible
• All equipment is carefully used and maintained, and any faults reported.
• Safe work practices are followed as per Company Policies.
• Effective communication is maintained with the Venue Services Manager and the client.
• Attend and actively participate in meetings pre, during and post events.
• Carry out and attend any training, appraisals and development programs as per direction from the Venue Services Manager.
• All staff are guest focused and have intimate knowledge of facilities and services.
• Adhere to the site regulations for safety
• Adhere to the Code of conduct at all times
• All dress and behavior codes are followed, understood and adhered to.
