Job summary

CleanEvent Services Ltd in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to lead a team of 5 to 20 cleaners and ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards under the guidance of the Venue Cleaning Manager.

You will be responsible for motivating staff, coordinating shifts, enforcing safety rules, and maintaining equipment and cleaning records to deliver reliable, quality service for events and venues.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team of cleaners in a hospitality or events environment.
• Ability to motivate staff and manage performance.
• Strong adherence to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Direct, control, motivate and encourage all personnel under your management.
• Provide an efficient, safe, consistent, and quality service to clients by observing all procedures and guidelines.
• Manage team members' performance and direct them to cleaning tasks as required.
• Ensure equipment is safely used and faults are promptly reported.
• Ensure staff operating equipment are trained and licensed to do so.
• Follow safe work practices and dress/behaviour codes.
• Maintain effective communications with the Venue Cleaning Manager.
• Create staff rota two weeks in advance and manage rota coverage.
• Prepare weekly cleaning task summaries and monthly toolbox talks.
• Carry out toolbox talks with the team and briefing each match day.
• Monitor agency staff on shift if applicable.
• Arrange cover for staff absence and sickness.
• Submit cleaning check sheets and store orders to line manager weekly.

Role Description

Reporting to the Venue Manager and supervising a team of 5 to 20 Cleaners, this role is responsible for all aspects of cleaning and ensures that all activities are carried out as per the direction of the Venue Cleaning Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the direction and guidance from the 2IC/VPM
• Direct, control, motivate and encourage all personnel under your management
• Provide an efficient, safe, consistent, and quality service to the complete satisfaction of Cleanevent clients by observing all the appropriate procedures and guidelines of Cleanevent policy.
• Manage team members' performance and direct them to undertake cleaning tasks as required to meet the responsibilities of this job role
• Ensure that all equipment is safely and properly used by team members and that any faults are promptly reported and fixed
• Ensure that staff who operate mechanical sweeper, machines and other mechanical equipment are properly trained and licensed to do so
• Ensure that safe work practices are followed by all team members
• Ensure that all team members adhere to dress and behavior codes
• Maintain effective communications with the Venue Cleaning Manager
• Allocate adhoc cleaning duties as they are logged with the help desk
• Maintaining Cleanevent's Cleaning Event Management System HF
• Submit required cleaning check sheets
• Motivating team members and ensuring that good working relationships are maintained with and between team members.
• Ensure cleaning storage area is kept clean and accessible. Accountable for all equipment to be returned to storage after use -Assist the manager in the sign in and out of staff, the controlling of numbers in accordance with the rota
• Monitor agency staff whilst on shift if applicable
• Provide further training for staff on a regular basis
• Arrange cover for staff absence and sickness
• Send store orders to line manager weekly
• Create staff Rota two weeks in advance
• send a weekly summary of any cleaning tasks that are planned for the following week
• Carryout Monthly toolbox talks with all members of your team
• Carryout toolboxes talk and briefing each match day
• Ensure all staff area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
