Job summary

The Housing Network (THN) is hiring a part-time Cleaning Operative to support vulnerable residents. The role covers 8 hours over Saturday and Sunday, at £13.46 per hour. You’ll help maintain void rooms and communal areas to a high standard, ensuring safety and hygiene across sites in collaboration with council targets.

We seek experienced cleaners who are well organized, communicate effectively, and can report works using IT tools. DBS checks apply as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled cleaning on void rooms to return them to a high standard.
• Clean rooms and communal areas to a high quality standard.
• Prepare void rooms for new residents.
• Remove rubbish and dispose of correctly.
• Check kitchens and laundry for cleanliness and hazards; keep common areas hazard-free.
• Maintain hygienic and well-kept communal areas.
• Report repairs to the maintenance office team.
• Carry out sharps sweeps.
• Follow COSHH and company policies.

Cleaning Operative (Part Time)

Hourly Rate - £13.46 Per Hour

Working Hours - 4 Hours Saturday, and 4 Hours Sunday (8 Hours Total)

What you'll be doing:

• Carry out scheduled work on void rooms to bring back up to a high standard and in accordance with the Council's targets prescribed in the contract
• Cleaning of rooms/communal areas as directed, ensuring that all rooms/communal areas are maintained to a high quality standard
• Cleaning void rooms to prepare them for new residents.
• Remove rubbish and dispose of correctly.
• Check kitchen and laundry room appliances are clean and free from hazards and common part areas are free from hazards and are clean as directed regularly
• Ensure that the communal areas are hygienic and well maintained.
• Report any repairs to the maintenance office team.
• Carry out sharps sweeps
• Follow all COSHH and company polices
