Role overview

We are looking to recruit a Cleaning Operative to work at our Wardlesworth Health Centre, Croft Shifa, Belfield Rd, Rochdale OL16 2UP. Reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor, you will work individually or as part of a team to undertake the cleaning of designated areas within the property and to ensure that they are kept in a clean and hygienic environment.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  1. Cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying litter bins, polishing, and dusting of designated areas (which may include toilets and shower areas), and fixture and fittings, using appropriate powered equipment.
  2. Moving items of furniture.
  3. Carrying out duties in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, statutory and company instructions, regulations, and other legal requirements.
  4. Relieving and assisting in other establishments as needed.
  5. Attending to incidents such as accidents, fires, thefts, damages, and irregularities, completing necessary reports.
  6. Participating in meetings as requested.
  7. Covering for staff absences as required.
  8. Pursuing personal development to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
  9. Adhering to company rules, policies, and procedures at all times.

It is essential that you have prior experience in a similar role, enjoy working in a busy team environment, and possess excellent customer service and communication skills with clients, patients, and colleagues.

The working hours are between 5.00 pm and 8.00 pm, Monday to Friday. The hourly rate for this role is £10.90.

This role is subject to the successful completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
