Job summary

Serco Limited at Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre in West Sussex is hiring a Cleaning Operative. You will ensure all assigned areas are cleaned to the highest standard using the provided equipment, maintain schedules, and keep records of tools under the direction of the Facilities Manager.

The role requires previous cleaning experience and a Basic Health & Safety qualification, good communication skills, and a proactive, flexible approach to prioritise workload.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleaning stock within designated areas.
• Comply with Health & Safety Cleaning Procedures.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and wet vac machines.
• Clean all assigned areas according to the Cleaning Schedule.
• Complete additional duties as directed by the Facilities Manager or Senior Engineer.
