Job summary

PSS Group is recruiting a Cleaning Operative in Ipswich to deliver on-site cleaning in line with health and safety standards. The role requires flexibility to cover holidays and sickness, with AM/PM shifts and weekend work as needed.

The ideal candidate should be reliable, polite, and able to follow instructions. Full training is provided, and a uniform is supplied. Competitive hourly pay is offered at £13.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Overtime may be required to cover staff sickness and holidays.
• Ability to follow instructions to maintain standards.
• Polite and professional conduct at all times.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to site requirements.
• Flexible and reliable, with weekend availability when needed.
• Experience is welcome but full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and standards within Health and Safety guidelines.
• Clean specific areas of the site according to the schedule and specification as instructed by Manager / Supervisor.
• Attend to all urgent cleaning and spills when required.
• Ensure cleaning cupboards are always kept tidy and stocked.
• Report any identified hazards or problems to the Manager / Supervisor.
• Provide clear and detailed handovers to your work colleagues.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly.
