Job summary

New Bridge School in Hollinwood, Oldham is seeking an enthusiastic cleaner to join the premises team. The role covers general cleaning duties across the school including tables, surfaces, floors, toilets and pool area cleaning, with full training provided.

Hours are 10 per week, term-time only (195 days), permanent contract. Salary starts at NJC point 3 (£25,614 full year) with pro rata £5,976 per annum for part-time hours.

Job description

We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and efficient cleaner based at New Bridge School, Roman Road campus, Hollinwood. The role involves general cleaning duties such as wiping down tables and surfaces, cleaning floors and toilets and using standard cleaning equipment such as mops and a vacuum cleaner. The role will also include cleaning the swimming pool area and full training will be provided. The successful candidate will join a small team of premises staff and will need to be available to assist with a deeper clean of their particular site during the school holidays.

Previous experience is preferred although full training will be given. The successful candidate will be passionate about creating a welcoming environment through good hygiene standards. Key elements for any candidate are excellent attendance and reliability.

Salary: NJC point 3 - £25,614 (full time/ full year)

Actual salary pro rata: £5,976 per annum
