Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning Operative for permanent night shifts at Transport for London, Blackhorse Road, London. The role is full-time, 35 hours per week, 23:00 to 07:00, with rostered weekends.

You will perform general and deep cleaning of stations and buildings; training and uniform are provided. We expect punctual, communicative, and proactive candidates who can work well in a fast-paced team. Sentinel Card is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial cleaning is preferred.

Rate of Pay: £14.80 per hour
Position Type: Permanent
Type of Employment: Full Time
Hours: 35 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 23:00 - 07:00, 5 days a week (shifts will be subject to roster and may include weekends)
Location: Transport for London, Blackhorse Road, Greater London, England E17 6JJ

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Your duties will involve general and deep cleaning of stations and buildings.
• Training and full uniform will be provided.
• You must have good time keeping, great communication skills and immaculate attendance.

Person Specification

• Outstanding communication skills both internal and external.
• Good spoken and written English language proficiency
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A proactive/can do attitude to work.
• The ability to work on own initiative and take full ownership of role.
• The ability to follow process/ instructions.
• Good industrial cleaning experience

Licenses & Certification

HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
• Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
• Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
• Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
