Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is hiring a Mobile Cleaner in London to travel between London Fire Brigade sites and deliver deep cleaning to offices, gyms, showers, toilets and kitchens. The role requires reliability, teamwork, and adherence to COSHH safety standards.

The position is full time with 36 hours per week and permanent contract. UK driving licence is preferred, and a company vehicle may be issued if needed.

Qualifications

• UK driving license (preferred/essential depending on requirement) and ability to travel between sites.
• Experience using commercial cleaning equipment (scrubber dryers, steam cleaners, pressure washers, carpet cleaners).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.

Responsibilities

• Travel between London Fire Brigade sites as required.
• Perform deep cleaning of offices, communal areas, gym, showers, toilets and kitchens.
• Carry out periodic, reactive, and deep cleaning to agreed specifications.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment per COSHH regulations.
• Work at pace with a team to meet SLA deadlines.
• Learn cleaning area specifics and equipment/chemical use.
• Follow health and safety requirements and training.
• Deliver customer service both in team and independently.
• Ensure work aligns with client expectations and company procedures.
• Complete cleaning records, audits and defect reports.

We're looking for a Mobile Cleaner who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.

Rate of pay: £15.40 per hour

Position type: Permanent

Type of employment: Full time

Location: London Fire Brigade, 169 Union Street, London, Greater London, England SE1 0LL

Roles & Responsibilities

• Travel between London Fire Brigade sites across London as required
• Experience and passion in deep cleaning commercial buildings including offices, communal areas, gym, showers, toilets and kitchens
• Carry out periodic, reactive, and deep cleaning tasks to agreed specifications and service standards.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals, machinery, and specialist equipment in accordance with COSHH regulations.
• Ability to work at pace with a team to meet SLA deadlines
• Build knowledge of the designated cleaning area and understand cleaning equipment and chemicals used.
• Follow Health and Safety requirements and complete all required training.
• Work effectively within a team and independently, delivering excellent customer service.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with client expectations and company procedures.
• Complete cleaning records, audits, and defect reports as required

• Full UK driving licence (preferred/essential depending on requirement), a company vehicle may be issued to successful applicant
• Ability to travel independently between multiple sites
• Experience using commercial cleaning equipment such as scrubber dryers, steam cleaners, pressure washers, and carpet cleaning machines (desirable).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards
