Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning Operative in London (Transport for London, Blackhorse Road, E17). This permanent, full-time role offers 35 hours per week with a night shift from 23:00 to 07:00. £14.80 per hour on a permanent contract.

You will perform general and deep cleaning of stations and buildings, follow policies, and work with the team to ensure service standards are met. Attendance and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Outstanding communication skills both internal and external.
• Good spoken and written English language proficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A proactive/can do attitude to work.
• The ability to work on own initiative and take full ownership of role.
• The ability to follow process/instructions.
• Good industrial cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• General and deep cleaning of stations and buildings.
• Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
• Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
• Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
• Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system

Rate of Pay: £14.80 per hour

Position Type: Permanent

Type of Employment: Full Time

Hours: 35 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 23:00 - 07:00, 5 days a week (shifts will be subject to roster and may include weekends)

Location: Transport for London, Blackhorse Road, Greater London, England E17 6JJ

Your duties will involve general and deep cleaning of stations and buildings., Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;

• Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
• Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;

You must have good time keeping, great communication skills and immaculate attendance.
