Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The Cleaning Operative is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the packhouse and Yard designated areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for staff, customers, and visitors. This role involves cleaning production workspaces and production machinery line with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. General Cleaning Tasks: Sweeping, mopping, dusting, jet washing, scrubber drying floors and production machinery; maintaining cleanliness in restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., toilet paper, soap); emptying rubbish bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
2. Specialized Cleaning: Periodic deep cleaning tasks such as cleaning production machinery and water tanks.
3. Health & Safety Compliance: Following company guidelines and safety procedures; reporting hazards; handling cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
4. Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring cleaning equipment is in good condition; reporting faulty or damaged equipment.

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or facilities maintenance preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Physical & Safety Requirements

• Ability to lift moderate weights, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Working Conditions

• Work hours may vary (day shifts, evening shifts, weekends); core hours are 10am-9pm on a 5-day rotation.
• Tasks may involve working in high foot traffic areas or with cleaning chemicals.
