We are seeking a Cleaning Operative to work at our Client's site, Childer Thornton Primary School & Nursery, New School Ln, Childer Thornton, Ellesmere Port CH66 1QY. Reporting to the Senior Cleaning Supervisor, you will work individually or as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  1. Cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying litter bins, polishing, and dusting designated areas, including toilets and shower areas, using powered equipment where appropriate.
  2. Moving furniture as needed.
  3. Carrying out duties in compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  4. Assisting in other establishments when required.
  5. Responding to incidents such as accidents, fires, thefts, or irregularities, and completing reports.
  6. Attending meetings as requested.
  7. Covering staff absences as needed.
  8. Developing skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
  9. Adhering to company rules, policies, and procedures.

It is essential that you have prior experience in a similar role, enjoy working in a busy team, and possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

Please note: The role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.

The working hours are either Mon - Fri 7:00am - 8:00am or 4:30pm - 5:30pm.
