Pay Rate: £13.86 per hour

Contract Type: Full Time

Type of Employment: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday (10 PM- 07 AM)

Location: Recycling Centre, New Covent Garden Market, Nine Elms, London, Greater London, England, SW8 5PA

Wehave been the preferred partner to Covent Garden Market Authority and their tenants (over 200 tenants) for more than 10 years and in YOUR NEWrole as a Cleaning Operativeyou will be part of an outstanding team providing recycling and cleaning services to London's prestigious Fruit & Veg and Flower markets at Vauxhall, London (SW8) including every Sunday London's largest open-air market.

The role is primarilyoutside and involves the collecting of tenant waste for recycling in our purpose-built recycling centre which does including sweeping, lifting, sorting of waste into different streams for processing. We pride ourselves in the service we offer that no waste goes to landfill. As well as recyclingservices we also clean other areas such as all public toilets, limited number of offices, light grounds maintenance, car park deep cleans, and ad hoc works as required by our customer and their tenants.

Other Main Duties

• To undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role.
• Individuals will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative.
• Adhere to allMitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain the designated area to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with the Contract and relevantSLA's, carrying out all daily weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the CleaningLeadership Team
• Ensure that the service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard.
• To ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order.
• To have a full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.
• To have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used byMitie.
• To build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
