Job summary

Aramark UK is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our facilities team in Lisburn. You will maintain cleanliness and hygiene to the highest standards, working both independently and with the team to support a safe, welcoming workplace.

Responsibilities include cleaning offices and facilities, operating cleaning equipment, following protocols (COSHH), restocking supplies, recording schedules, and reporting hazards promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a cleaning or facilities maintenance role (desirable)
• Proficiency in using a range of cleaning equipment and machinery
• Sound knowledge of cleaning products, their applications, and safe handling procedures
• Understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly COSHH compliance
• Strong organisational and time keeping skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks consistently
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when required
• Strong people skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service orientation
• Reliability and punctuality
• Problem-solving ability and adaptability to different cleaning environments
• Ability to work flexible shift patterns and respond to changing organisational needs
• Willingness to undertake induction training and ongoing professional development
• First Aid certification (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitisation of all workplace areas, including offices, communal spaces, and facilities, to consistently high standards
• Operate and maintain a range of cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectively
• Follow detailed cleaning protocols and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across all areas
• Restock cleaning supplies and report shortages to management promptly
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or hazards immediately
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including COSHH compliance, and wear personal protective equipment as required
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and address spillages or accidents with urgency and professionalism
• Work flexibly to accommodate varying shift patterns and organisational requirements
• Contribute to a positive workplace environment through professional conduct, teamwork, and excellent customer service
• Identify and communicate potential safety hazards to management in a timely manner
• Undertake induction training and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities
