Job summary

Anchor Group Services is seeking a Cleaning Operative for PIB Derby, Exeter House, Derby. You will clean designated areas to the site's specification, following H&S and COSHH rules and delivering excellent service to on-site clients.

Requirements include a basic DBS check, COSHH understanding, and strong communication. Hours are Monday to Friday, 17:00–19:15 (11.25 hours/week) at £12.60/hr, with flexibility to cover shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning designated areas to the site specification.
• Emptying bins and disposing of recycling correctly.
• Attend to spillages efficiently to ensure safety.
• Follow H&S and COSHH regulations.
• Use of site-specific equipment, machinery and handling chemicals.
• Interact with on-site clients to provide excellent customer service.
• Carry out other reasonable management requests.

Job Role: Cleaning Operative

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 17:00-19:15 - 11.25 hours per week

Pay: £12.60 per hour

Location: PIB Derby - Exeter House, Derby, DE21 6BF

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services, for an experienced cleaner to join the site cleaning team at PIB, Derby. The successful candidate will be required to carry out a range of cleaning tasks, safely and professionally, to a high standard. You must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, have the ability to communicate on all levels and provide flexibility to cover additional shifts, as and when required. If you do not already hold a valid DBS certificate, you will require a DBS check before starting.

Duties include:

• Cleaning of designated areas, ensuring the agreed cleaning specification is completed, as per the site instructions
• Emptying of bins, ensuring recycled waste is disposed of correctly
• Attending to spillages by making sure they are cleaned up, within an efficient timeframe, to prevent accidents and ensure site and staff safety
• Following H&S and COSHH regulations
• Use of site-specific equipment, machinery and handling chemicals
• Proactive interaction with on-site clients and customers, offering superb customer service
• Use of site-specific equipment, machinery and handling chemicals
• Carrying out any other reasonable management requests
