Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning Operative at South West College, Circular Road, Dungannon, BT71 6BQ. The role is permanent, part-time with 12.5 weekly hours and £12.71 per hour. You will deliver cleaning services to a high standard, following safety and security policies, and support safeguarding requirements.

Training will be provided if needed; a professional, reliable and self-driven approach is required to meet contract SLAs and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cleaning services to the required standard and SLA.
• Maintain the designated area to the agreed level of cleanliness.
• Follow Mitie policies on safety, quality and environment.
• Ensure equipment is clean, maintained and safe to use.
• Report maintenance needs identified during tasks.
• Work with the Cleaning Supervisor and team to meet targets.
• Uphold security, safeguarding and confidentiality policies.
• Build positive relationships with customers and go beyond expectations.

Job Information

Deliver excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer. Ensure the contract service delivery is of a high standard, meeting allSLAagreements whilst adhering to the cleaning schedules.

Main Duties

• Undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role.
• Work within a team and under their own initiative.
• Adhere to allMitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain the designated area to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with the Contract and relevantSLAs, carrying out all daily weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Ensure that the service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard.
• Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order.
• Report any maintenance requirements identified during cleaning tasks.
• Always maintain security – locking doors, following lost property procedures etc.
• Have a full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.
• Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used byMitie.
• Set a good example in terms of dress, behaviour, punctuality, and attendance.
• Ensure all Safeguarding Policies are always adhered to and raise any concerns in line with the Mitie policy.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ensure contractors and external visitors comply with security and health and safety while on school premises.
• Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
• To undertake any other related duties which are within the job holder's capability, according to the needs of the business.
