Royal Mail P&FS is recruiting for Cleaning Operatives at Rossendale Delivery Office

Job Reference Number: 324478

Pay: £12.21 per hour.

Benefits: 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years’ service, plus bank holidays, uniform, PPE, employee referral scheme, and a Defined Contribution pension scheme, plus car parking.

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: Part-time, 13:15 hours per week, Monday to Saturday.

Working hours details: From 11:00 to 13:30, Monday to Thursday; Friday finish at 13:15; Saturday at 12:00. You will work either as part of a team or as the sole cleaner on site, ensuring high standards of service are maintained.

About the Role

You will be responsible for tasks including mopping, toilet cleaning, wall washing, vacuuming, bin emptying, dusting, and sanitising surfaces to a high standard, safely and professionally.

Full training and a first-day induction will be provided. The role is physically demanding and involves manual handling activities.

About You

Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential. You should be friendly, with good communication skills, able to interact with customers and managers while adhering to Health & Safety regulations.

The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently, managing your own time remotely.
