Job summary

Mitie Group plc is seeking a Cleaning Operative for a part-time role in Birmingham. You will keep cleaning equipment and areas spotless, follow health and safety guidelines and meet SLAs while working as part of a team.

You will need to be reliable, flexible and able to read basic English. Prior cleaning experience is a plus but not essential; training will be provided to ensure you perform to the required standards and deliver excellent service to customers.

Job title: Cleaning Operative

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 10 hours per week

Type of employment: Part Time

Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 1:00pm - 3:20pm (20 mins unpaid break)

Location: GPA, Stephenson Street, Birmingham, West Midlands, England B2 4BH

In your new role as a Cleaning Operative you will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs. Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements. You will need to undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role. You will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative. You will need to build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivery excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.

In order to be successful in this role you will need have the ability to communicate and read basic English, previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential and have a flexible approach to the role. You will need to be open, honest, self-driven and determined. You'll need to be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
