Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cleaner for Avon and Somerset Police. The role involves keeping the site clean to high standards, supporting the team, and following safety procedures. Training on equipment and products will be provided. You will be expected to assist with general duties and occasional holiday cover.

The position offers part-time hours (10 hours per week) at £14.50 per hour, with on-site duties and a focus on customer service and reliability.

Job Introduction:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team at Avon and Somerset Police

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site, while providing excellent customer service and supporting the wider team with general duties. Full training will be provided on cleaning equipment, products and site procedures.

What you'll do:

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across designated areas.
• Complete daily, weekly, quarterly and annual cleaning tasks.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely following appropriate training.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards or faulty equipment promptly.
• Use appropriate safety signage, including wet floor signs.
• Keep cleaning stores and equipment clean, tidy and safely stored.
• Follow Health & Safety, COSHH and site-specific procedures.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and wear the required PPE.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to customer queries.
• Assist with moving furniture for meetings and deep cleaning when required.
• Complete relevant paperwork and attend team meetings.
• Provide additional cover for holidays and sickness when required.
• Secure your work area at the end of the working day.Carry out other reasonable cleaning and support duties as required.
