Job summary

WhatJobs Direct is seeking a Cleaning Operations Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning and sanitation activities in Randburg, Gauteng, ZA. The ideal candidate will manage staff scheduling, training, quality control and inventory of supplies while ensuring high hygiene standards.

You will lead a hands-on team, implement efficient schedules and maintain records to support operational excellence and a pristine facility. A proactive leader with strong communication is required.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in cleaning or environmental services preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies and equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and motivate a cleaning team.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the cleaning team.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules to cover all areas efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness and identify areas needing attention.
• Train cleaning staff on techniques, safety procedures and equipment use.
• Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, ensure adequate stock.
• Address and resolve cleaning-related issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities, staff performance and usage.
• Liaise with facility management to coordinate cleaning for events or needs.
• Uphold company standards for professionalism and service quality.
